Humans are conscious beings - we have awareness of our surroundings - and of ourselves. Unfortunately, most of us spend our lives focusing on our external environment: our jobs, our bodies, our friends and families, our possessions, our wealth, our status in society. Most of us spend too little time on our inner environment: our mind, our heart and feelings, our beliefs, our values, our awareness. When our awareness is focused on the external, we deprive ourselves of our essence, our source - the field of consciousness that gives us life and supports all areas of our life.
To enrich your life in any area, it's necessary only to increase your awareness of who you are within. This is an age-old truth. Know thyself. The Kingdom of Heaven is within. So many wise humans have given us this simple truth to guide us so we can live fuller, more successful lives. Yet, this simple truth eludes most people.
I've spent the past 50 years of my life exploring different techniques for inner development. I've learned - and experienced - that life can be lived as an effortless flow of growth and success. Real success doesn't come from hard work. Nor does it come from making mistakes. Success comes from being in alignment with the flow of Nature on the stepping stones of accomplishment. But in order to be in this position, it's necessary to develop your inner life - your inner awareness.
